钢 alloy 1018 is a general purpose alloy, ideal for parts that require forming 和 surface hardening. 而不是机加工, it is a good choice for parts that require very strong welds 和 a lower strength than high-carbon alloys. 1018 is available case-hardened only.
1018 has a machining cost factor of 2.4 .与钢12L14相比. It produces exceptional welds that do not require pre- or post-heating processes. 1018 responds well to case hardening 和 heat treating.
